The school
- We parade with a school that is part of group A (Ouro Series), Academicos de Niteroi, regarding Ala Choreographé for which I am director and choreographer;
- This school parades on Friday or Saturday (we will only know after the schools draw lots for the order of the parade);
- Possibilities of parading with other schools (Serie Or or Special Group) on request.
ALA Choreographed
Terms:
- Know the samba step well;
- Know the choreography that I will create;

- Participate in a few choreographic workshops set up before the parade if possible (Paris or Bordeaux), otherwise study the videos that will be sent and send me a video of you dancing for validation;
- Know the song (singing) perfectly;
- Mastering the choreography is an essential condition for parading in this ala.
When will the choreography be created?
September or October, I am waiting for the creation of the samba-enredo (the song).
Suit
- It will be revealed from September/October. There is only one costume for this ala. I have the right to review it with the artistic director;
- Shoes: heels will also be provided.
Floats
- No need to know the samba step!
- Move/dance well, be expressive;
- Know the song perfectly;

Is the suit custom-made?
- Not just for MUSES;
- They are generally 4 sizes (Small/Medium/Large/Extra large) with elastics, systems that allow them to adapt to all body shapes;
- You must therefore provide sewing equipment: thread, needle, safety pins, in order to adjust your costume on site if necessary.
Will the float be very high?
Impossible to know! If you are afraid of heights, it would be better to avoid the tanks.
Will there be rehearsals before the parade?
- Yes, in Rio with me, during the courses offered during the stay.
- For the ala choreography, there are 6 hours to 8 hours of rehearsals.
Will I be able to keep my costume?
Yes of course! You buy them, it is not possible to rent them. We can bring them back to France.
Important: bring a large, almost empty suitcase on the way out to have room to bring back the costume!

Travel insurance. What is this?
Travel insurance is an insurance contract. In exchange for a fixed price, the insurer undertakes to provide the insured with a set of guarantees allowing them to be assisted and insured before, during, and after their trip.
There are travel insurance policies that reimburse you for the trip in the event of cancellation on your part under certain conditions.
There are different insurances and insurers in the current market. For example, there is multi-risk insurance. Some bank cards already offer it to their customers. They can thus insure you in the event of an accident on site, illness, or repatriation.
Allez Samba Rio does not work with any particular insurer, but recommends that you take out insurance (travel/multi-risk), the one that best meets your expectations and needs.
This is not an obligation, but it can be very interesting in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

“Good morning! I have been dancing samba for several years at the Coração do Brasil samba school in Nantes and I also play chocalho in our bateria. When I started dancing, I never imagined being able to parade during carnivals in France with our musicians and even less at the Rio carnival! And there you have it, this will be my 4th fashion show in Rio and I’m still amazed! It’s a great and wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of Rio’s samba schools, the biggest carnival in the world, and to always rediscover this city and the madness of carnival.”

“My name is Shérazade, I am 38 years old and I live in La Rochelle. I started Samba a little over a year ago after dreaming about it for years. Every day I am a little more won over by this solar, joyful and generous dance. This trip to Rio represents a huge opportunity for me to improve my basics and learn from the best, but also to experience Carnival from the inside which, I think, will be an unforgettable experience.
