About Us
Allez Samba Rio: a meeting place for Brazilian dance and culture
Allez Samba Rio is a meeting place that brings together people who share a passion for dance, samba and Brazilian culture — as well as those who are simply curious to discover this vibrant world.
It is a space for connection, cultural exchange and unique experiences, bringing together dance enthusiasts, Brazilian artists and teachers, and anyone looking to experience Brazil beyond the usual tourist routes.
The Allez Samba Rio name is also behind our Brazilian Dance Congress in Rio de Janeiro, where Brazilian teachers and artists come together to share their knowledge, passion and culture through dance.
Who is Alessandra?
Brazilian-born Alessandra Cabral is a choreographer, Brazilian dance teacher and communications professional with a lifelong passion for dance, music, travel and Brazilian culture.
Over the years, she has turned these passions into her profession, creating connections between Brazil and people from all over the world who want to discover its culture from the inside.
What drives Alessandra most is sharing and transmitting her culture. Through dance, travel and human connections, she loves opening doors to a Brazil that visitors do not always have the opportunity to experience.
Today, Alessandra works independently and also collaborates with Brésil en Mouvement, a French non-profit association whose mission is to promote Brazilian culture in France.
Experience Rio Carnival from the inside
The Rio Carnival Immersion, organised by Brésil en Mouvement and accompanied by Alessandra, gives participants the opportunity to experience one of the world’s most iconic celebrations from a completely different perspective.
Discover Rio’s street carnival, take samba classes in Rio de Janeiro with renowned Brazilian teachers, join rehearsals and prepare to parade in Rio Carnival with a real samba school.
This is not simply about putting on a costume on parade day.
Participants train and rehearse beforehand, experiencing the preparation and excitement of Carnival in order to take part in Rio Carnival as genuine members of a samba school.
It is an authentic cultural and human experience — and a unique way to discover the world-famous Rio Carnival alongside the people who bring it to life.
Discover Afro-Brazilian culture
The Afro-Brazilian Culture Immersion is designed both for those who are already passionate about Brazilian culture and for anyone curious to discover its roots and incredible diversity.
In Salvador da Bahia, participants discover the dances of the Orixás, connected to Candomblé traditions, Afro-Brazilian rhythms, samba-reggae and the famous blocos afros of Pelourinho.
These immersive experiences are about much more than travelling to Brazil.
They are about dancing, learning, meeting people, understanding the culture and experiencing Brazil from the inside.
Welcome to Brazilian culture !
